Astrophotography Fit

Best for galaxies, planetary work, and other small high-resolution targets when the mount, camera format, and correction hardware are chosen as one system.

Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 HD sits in the telescope slot for galaxies, planetary work, and other small high-resolution targets. The useful headline specs are aperture 234.95 mm, focal length 2350 mm, f/10.

Camera coverage: APS-C / full-frame with careful spacing. Image circle: 42 mm. Back focus: 146.05 mm.

Long focal length optics reward patience. Guiding accuracy, seeing, focus stability, mirror behavior, and mount capacity matter more here than they do on small refractors.

Best paired with

Heavy-duty GoTo mount with generous imaging payload headroom
Off-axis guider, sensitive guide camera, and motorized focuser
Small-pixel planetary cameras or appropriately sized cooled deep-sky cameras

Not recommended for

Undermounted beginner rigs or windy portable setups
Large nebula framing without a reducer or mosaic plan
First deep-sky setup if guiding and collimation still feel unfamiliar
