iOptron HAZ71 AZ SWG Mount Head is a premium strain-wave GoTo mount for pointing and tracking where field rotation is acceptable.
Alt-azimuth mounts are comfortable and fast for visual or EAA work, but long deep-sky exposures need equatorial tracking or field derotation.
Strain-wave mounts are wonderfully compact, but they still need stiffness, cable discipline, and sometimes counterweighting to keep long tubes calm.
Best paired with
