Astrophotography Fit

Best for white-light solar observing with compatible refractors.

Lunt 2-inch Solar Wedge belongs only in a properly configured solar setup. Solar gear is not interchangeable with night-sky filters, and compatibility with aperture, focal ratio, heat rejection, and blocking requirements must be confirmed before use.

A Herschel wedge is for refractors, not SCTs, Maksutovs, or Newtonians. Use the required attenuation and never improvise solar safety.

Best paired with

Compatible refractors for white-light solar viewing
Solar continuum or neutral-density accessories specified for the wedge
Stable solar tracking mount and careful heat management

Not recommended for

Night-sky observing or deep-sky imaging
Improvised solar setups outside manufacturer instructions
Reflectors or catadioptric telescopes unless the product explicitly supports them
