Astrophotography Fit

Best for building natural-color broadband data with a monochrome camera.

Optolong LRGB 1.25" Imaging Mounted Filter Set is a budget-friendly LRGB/RGB filter set (1.25").

Best for building natural-color broadband data with a monochrome camera.

Choose filter size around the sensor diagonal, telescope speed, and filter-wheel or drawer geometry. Flats are still required; a filter can improve contrast, but it will not rescue tilt, bad focus, or poor calibration.

Best paired with

Monochrome cooled cameras and electronic filter wheels
Broadband galaxies, clusters, reflection nebulae, and star fields
Dark-sky sites or well-calibrated light-polluted workflows

Not recommended for

One-shot color cameras where LRGB adds complexity without benefit
Heavy light pollution without enough total integration
Emission-only projects where narrowband filters are the priority
