Astrophotography Fit

Best for remote or advanced imaging rigs where framing needs to be repeatable without touching the camera.

Pegasus Astro Falcon Rotator v2 lets software rotate the camera angle instead of loosening the imaging train by hand. That is valuable for mosaics, multi-night projects, and remote setups where manual framing is tedious or impossible.

It adds weight, back focus, and another powered device. Make sure the focuser can carry the load and the optical train still reaches the correct spacing.

Best paired with

Plate-solving capture software and mosaic planning tools
Rigid threaded imaging trains with enough back focus
Permanent or semi-permanent rigs that revisit targets

Not recommended for

Simple one-target portable sessions
Imaging trains already tight on back focus or focuser capacity
Users who are comfortable framing manually and locking rotation down
