HyperStar 8/8HD V4 replaces the secondary mirror path with a fast front-mounted imaging system. It can make an SCT dramatically faster and wider, but the camera body, cables, filter choice, collimation, and tilt all become part of the optical problem.
Use compact cameras and a planned filter solution. Large filter wheels, dangling cables, or mismatched camera bodies can obstruct the aperture and make stars harder to tame.
