ZWO 1.25-inch ADC sits in the planetary imaging path and counteracts the prism-like color spread caused by Earth's atmosphere. It matters most below moderate altitudes, where blue and red detail no longer land in the same place.
It is a tuning accessory, not a magic sharpness filter. Collimation, focus, seeing, and camera sampling still set the ceiling.

- Planetary cameras on SCTs, Maksutovs, or long refractors
- Barlows or Powermates used for high effective focal ratio
- RGB planetary capture where color alignment matters
