Best for ZWO-centered rigs where simple mobile control matters more than cross-platform flexibility.
ZWO ASIAIR Plus simplifies polar alignment, plate solving, guiding, autofocus, and sequencing from a phone or tablet. It is especially compelling when the camera, focuser, and filter wheel are already in the ZWO ecosystem.
The tradeoff is ecosystem lock-in. If you rely on non-ZWO cameras, custom drivers, or desktop automation tools, a mini PC or EAGLE-style controller may be a better fit.
Best paired with
- ZWO cameras, EAF focusers, EFW filter wheels, and AM-series mounts
- Portable refractor rigs and fast setup routines
- Users who prefer tablet control over laptop-based imaging
